About WineTailor
WineTailor AS was founded in 1996 by Jakob Opedal when the import monopoly ceased to exist.
WineTailor AS started importing wines from Burgundy and developed its wine range in accordance with the Norwegian market to also include wines from other parts of France, from Italy, Portugal, Austria, Germany and Spain. Today WineTailor import wines for all regions of the world, 80% of which originates from Europe. We also import beer from Thailand.
Staff:
Wine Tailor has a team of 5 people of which 5 both have wine education and a long experience in the wine business. Its offices are nearby Oslo.

Distribution:
Our products are distributed by Vectura, our logistics partner, also in charge of ordering, transporting and stocking our products. Vectura distributes our products to the Wine Monopoly and to wholesalers in the whole of Norway. As Norway still has a retail monopoly, 90% of our turnover goes to the Wine Monopoly who then distributes our products in a network of 200 retail stores all over Norway.
Philosophy and Marketing:
Our philosophy is to have a close and longlasting relationship with top producers and with our customers: the Wine Monopoly and restaurants.
Our products are well represented in Norway’s best restaurants. In cooperation with wine producers we often organize events such as Winemaker’s Dinners in the best restaurants where food and wine matches are brought into focus. We also buy advertisements on a regular basis in the Press. We also newly opened a new web site showing our products and giving information about our activities, tastings, events.
To market our products towards the Wine Monopoly we hold wine tastings and participate in wine fairs all over Norway several times each month.
Our main goal in the future is to work even closer with our producers and customers so as to continue to offer them products at competitive prices which perfectly match their needs and their concepts.
